Rudolph Daunno Jr.
President
As the eldest son in a long line of real estate developers, Rudy has been involved in this business for over 30 years. Starting small under the tutelage of his father, he began his career as a construction laborer, then a carpenter and eventually found his way into construction management for an array of construction companies in Northern New Jersey.
When the opportunity finally arose Rudy was then given the opportunity to become a partner with Cali Associates of Cranford. While with Cali he managed the construction of several office buildings and built town home developments. On a day-to-day basis he handled the construction, contracting, supervision, tenant improvements, for several hundred million dollars worth of real estate development. When Cali went public in 1994, Rudy was offered the position of Senior Director of Property Management and Development where he worked for six years. There, with a staff in excess of 40 people, Daunno managed 50 office properties totaling more then 5 million square feet.
Today, as President of Daunno Development Company Rudy’s main function is to pursue development opportunities for continued growth of the company working tirelessly in pursuit of establishing Daunno Development as a company to be well respected in today’s marketplace.
Nick LaSala
Managing Partner
With 37 years of building under his belt, there is very little that Nick hasn't seen, done, or managed when it comes to construction. Starting out as a machinist with Peerless Tube Co. in 1967, Nick worked his way through the public and private ranks making a name for himself as one of the most honest, loyal, and hardworking general contractors in North Jersey. Aside from spending 23 years with Peerless, Nick is a master carpenter who has also enjoyed stints working with BABCO Construction and Mack-Cali Realty Corp.
Building off of his name and experience in the field, as LaSala Construction, Nick spent 10 years doing residential and third party general contracting work in the Union County area. After a short retirement, his love for the field lured him back to work and attracted him here to Daunno Development.
With Daunno, Nick is a managing partner who oversees site construction administration. His responsibilities include estimating, job scheduling, material purchasing, and contract administration. When a free minute presents itself, you can usually find Nick doing his best to improve customer relations and making sure all is well with the homeowners we are doing business with.
Chris Daunno
Managing Partner
For Chris, commercial and residential real estate development is a family tradition. Following in the footsteps of his father and brothers, he has accumulated more than 20 years of experience in all aspects of the building industry. His career, encompassing tenure with Cali Associates, Mack-Cali Realty Corp., Denholtz Associates, and Mystic Development Company. His experience includes supervising the development and construction of notable office buildings and retail centers, townhouse communities, and single-family homes. A graduate of Stevens Institute of Technology, he earned a bachelor's of engineering degree in civil engineering.
With Daunno, Chris is a managing partner who joined the company to pursue further expansion. His goals including continuing the quality of service and expanding the company into new territory. His responsibilities include sales and estimating, scheduling, project management, and field supervision.
Rudolph A. Daunno III
Project Manager / Marketing Director
Rudy graduated Rider University with honors, earning a Bachelors of Science and Business Administration, concentrating in Marketing. He also recently completed the Central Jersey School of Real Estate where he became a licensed Real Estate Salesmen.
While Rudy’s knowledge of construction is still relatively raw, he has taken on the role of his father’s apprentice and over the next few years will learn every intricacy of the development business. Although he plans to start small, he has big plans for the future of the company.
In addition to his work on the construction side of the company, Rudy has also taken the reigns of the marketing side of the business. There, he will actively market all of Daunno Developments projects and will eventually head Daunno Realty’s Sales Department.
Using the knowledge and skills he acquired at Rider, Rudy hopes to help grow the company into something that both he and his family can be proud of for many years to come.
Brandon Daunno, CE
Project Manager / MIS Director
Brandon graduated from Lehigh University with a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering. His previous work experience involves surveying with an engineering firm and working for an architect doing floor plans and elevations. He joins the Daunno team as a project manager handling project design, estimating, and contract administration. He will also be in charge of our management information systems.
Although relatively new to the field, Brandon has worked as a laborer for Daunno since its inception and has acquired a good sense of the business. His remarkably fast learning abilities have helped him plant his feet as a strong project manager and a go to man in the event of a challenge.
Further, years of studying computer science has allowed Brandon to take over as Management information systems director. Brandon plans to use his acquired skills to build a better and more efficient working environment, as well as help to grow the company to levels not seen in its prior history.
Marianne Daunno
Financial Manager
“Mare” as she is fondly referred to around the office, has been a part-time bookkeeper with Daunno since the company actively began pursuing general contracting opportunities in the fall of 2004. Due to the substantial increase in the volume of work the company has taken on, she began working full-time with us in the winter of 2006.
Mare began her 17 year career at Cali Associates where she was given the position of on-site, full charge book keeper and administrative assistant for the construction of a 20 story commercial office building in Jersey City. Upon completion of the project she became a property accountant for several office buildings owned and managed by Cali.
Fueled by her tireless work ethic, Mare moved up the ranks at the newly formed Mack-Cali as the Senior Project Accountant and Project Manager for the company’s newly structured “Development Group.” There, she was in charge of all construction accounting including new building construction, tenant improvements, and capital improvements for over a hundred million dollars in new development.
With Daunno, Mare will handle all accounting, insurance, human resources, and office management work.
Justin LaSala
Associate Construction Director
Justin can be described as a true man of the world. After completing his undergraduate studies at Wesley College earning a Bachelors of Science, he went on to spend the better part of the last 6 years traveling the world. While overseas, he picked up several dialects of the Spanish language and a strong understanding of many foreign cultures.
When he wasn’t traveling, Justin worked part time as a carpenters apprentice and then spent five years working part-time for Dendrite doing asset tracking.
With Daunno, Justin will be his father’s apprentice, learning to supervise onsite construction. His responsibilities will include job scheduling, material purchasing, and contract administration.
Frank Russo
Associate Construction Salesman
Frank is a true entrepreneur in every sense of the word. Over the last 25 years he has held various positions in both the sales and construction fields. To date, he has built long standing relationships with countless customers, architects, engineers, and community officials who all have come to know and trust him.
With Daunno, Frank will look to help improve our already strong customer relations and work to spread our company’s name throughout Essex and Somerset Counties promoting our ever growing General Contracting business.
